Wild wonders of 2008

This year 2008 has been one year with quite a number of rare occurrences in the wild, its so amazing and almost unheard of for a python to fail on eating its prey and more so a mere Gazelle but this happened in Kenya just a few months back when a python was found by the Kenya Wildlife Authority so exhausted after a failed attempt to swallow a Gazelle that it had to vomit it. But unfortunately the innocent Gazelle was already dead.

Another occurrence was just here in Entebbe where in a bush in Lutembe village Entebbe road a python was discover with more than seven young ones. This case was reported to the Management of the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre former Entebbe Zoo who later came to their rescue and they were transferred to the UWEC for a proper up bringing.

Who has ever imagined that a whale as big as it is can exist just near the Indian Ocean coast? Just the other day a very huge whale and it’s young one was caught up in the fisher men’s nets in Kenya only to be rescued by the Kenyan Wildlife Authority leaving the fishermen complaining about their nets that were destroyed by the giant water “elephant.”
